Can you believe we are already halfway through October? It’s definitely been going by too fast for me. However, one upside is that my Ipsy bag has arrived with five new beauty goodies for me to play with. I have been an Ipsy subscribe for almost two years now and I’ve loved pretty much everything that I’ve got in from them.
For those of you who don’t know the name, Ipsy is a monthly subscription ‘glam bag’ run by Michelle Phan. Every month you get a super cute makeup bag (you can see this month’s Halloween themed one above) filled with deluxe size samples and sometimes even full sized beauty products. They alway include a great mixture of products and brands and this is how I’ve discovered some of my go to products. Ipsy is definitely my best spent $10 every month!
Beaute Basics Satin Taupe Eye Shadow
As the last few months have passed, I have noticed myself wearing less all matte eyes and instead finishing the lid off with a bit of a shimmer shade, just for a little eye pop. This eyeshadow is perfect for that. I did notice that is does smear a bit after a while, but a quick little midday blending at the crease is a quick fix that can save an otherwise great eye shadow.
Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation
Makeup Forever is a fantastic brand and one of the few lines out there that makes me want to own everything they make. While I have only tried their primers and mascaras, I’ve only heard wonderful things about their foundation. For the past several months I have just been wearing concealer all over my face. However, I was super excited when I saw this in my bag. I know that some people were having trouble with matching colors in the bags, but mine was a perfect match. This foundation is exactly what is says it is, which I love. I have had a bit of a breakout on my cheeks for a few months now and it covers up all those blemishes. It’s also super lightweight and you can wear it all day and barely feel it.
Essence Cosmetics Superfine Eyeliner Pen Waterproof
Being an avid liquid eyeliner wearer, this was another product I was excited to use! Especially because the liquid eyeliner I have now is coming the end of its day. I do really like this pen, however the tips is defiantly on the hard side. That makes it a little bit more difficult to work with, but, keeping that in mind, I was able to make a pretty good wing with is eyeliner pen. While I’m going to be using this for a bit, I don’t think it’s something I’ll pick up myself when I run out.
Prevention Measures 101 Lips 101 After Hours
I’m not a big chapstick or lip balm user most of the time, but I do find it to be a nice thing to keep on hand during colder months. However, with this being my first winter in San Diego, I’m not entirely sure how much I’ll get around to using this.
BeFine Food Skin Care Exfoliation Cleanser
Face washes are my favorite thing to get in from Ipsy. I’m terrible at shopping for cleansers because there are always too many brands that offer a ton of variations and I just want to try them all!
I typically geta new sample size cleanser ever other month or so in my Ipsy bag and it always last me till I run out, since you only need to use them every other day or so. I have gotten a couple of BeFine Food Skin Care’s products in my Ipsy bags before and they never disappoint. This exfoliant is more on the concentrated side and a little goes a long way, which makes for a bi-weekly face wash.
Are any of you guys Ipsy subscribers? If so, how do you feel about this month’s bag and what are some of your favorite Ipsy products? Let me know!
