Little Italy Farmer’s Market

It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Between shopping for gifts, trying to meet deadlines at work before going out of town, and visiting friends and family it can get really hard just to find a few hours to decompress and take it easy. It’s important to take a few hours out of your busy week to zen out a bit. Go for a walk or practice a relaxing hobby, maybe even just sit with a cup of coffee and read a bit.

Whenever Cassey and I feel this need, we try to take advantage of our central location in San Diego, pretty much anything we could want to do is within a short walk away. On Saturdays we tend to gravitate over to Little Italy for their farmer’s market. It’s  a great place to go out and grab some flowers or some great local food and coffee.

Farmer’s Markets are a great way to connect with your community and support businesses and artists that you may not hear about elsewhere. At the Little Italy Mercado (fancy sounding, huh?) you can grab anything from a shaving set hand made by a local US Navy Rescue Swimmer to some vegan spread with attitude. It’s a great place to pick out some quality holiday gifts with character.

Don’t forget to take care of yourself during this holiday season and into the new year. Take some time to live slowly and be aware of all of the great things you can find with some mindfulness. Happy Holidays friends.
