OOTD: Balboa Nights

How’s everybody’s week going? We’re getting some pretty nasty weather (for southern California at least) out here in San Diego. However, the rain cleared up enough on Saturday for us to do a date night that wasn’t the standard dinner & a movie fallback. The San Diego Museum of Art has a bar and restaurant, Panama 66, and they often do jazz concerts there (not too mention the food and beer selection is on point.)

We’re of the belief that you can and should use any excuse to dress up. Well, Josh is at least. We didn’t go all out but, we definitely tried to class up some less dressy items in a our wardrobes by pairing them with some nicer outerwear and keep our color choices fairly neutral.

Overall, it was a great night! Tons of dancing and good music in a very relaxing venue. We definitely look forward to our next trip out here. Do you guys have any favorite date night ideas? We’d love to hear about them!

  1. When we lived in San Diego, we used to love grabbing dessert to go from Extraordinary Desserts in Bankers Hill and eat it on the docks on Coronado Island, looking at the Downtown sky line across the water. That was our favorite date night there. Simple and sweet.
