MAIL TIME!!! Being the makeup addict that I am, I have makeup subscriptions. Getting Boxycharm and Ipsy is part of my favorite time every month. This month is was even better!! I have been subscribed to Ipsy for over two years now. It’s a great way to try out new products and brands. I am a new Boxycharm subscriber, this is only my third box that I have received.
For this month’s box I received:
Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion (retails for $79)
The Dr. Brandt line has a lot of great skincare products. Getting one of their products has been on my wish list for a while now, but it has always just been to pricey. I have gotten some sample products in my Ipsy bag and I haven’t been disappointed. The Microdermabrasion is a great exfoliation face wash to be used once of twice a week. Considering my face has been breaking out more than usually right now, I’m excited to try this out.
Z Palette (retails for $14)
This palette was made just for Boxycharm subscribers. I do not own any Z Palettes, but I have only heard great things about them. I love that when Boxycharm gives you single eyeshadows they give you a palette to stick them in as well.
Real Her Lipstick in No Filter (retails for $18)
I love lipsticks, I just can’t get enough of them. I am starting to gravitate more towards nudes these days. This is a great creamy nude that I’m excited to use. This lipstick enriched with Shea Butter, Jojoba Seed Oil, Aloe Vera, and Vitamin E. Which is great, because my lips are constantly chapped.
Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in Creme Brûlée and Bitten (retails for $6 each)
Makeup Geek is one of those brands that I have heard so much about, but haven’t gotten anything from them. I really enjoy the convince of picking up stuff from Ulta, Sephora, or the Drugstore. This two eyeshadows are great for everyday wear, but Bitten can be great to use of a more intense eye.
Royal and Langnickel Omnia Eye Kit (retails for $20)
Eyeshadow brush and a must and you can never have too many, right? Detail and Shader are great little brushes that you can create many eye looks from. Royal and Langnickel create some great brushes.
Overall this box totals up to over $14o worth of product, which is more than most of the boxes other months. I excited to start using all of these products. No to mention this box only cost $21 a month. It’s well worth it my opinion.
The February Ipsy Box:
NYX Butter Lipstick in Lifeguard (retails for $5.99)
This satins finish lipstick is great mixture between matte and glossy with just the right finish. The deep magenta is great to finish off these colder days but still isn’t to bold. NYX is a great drugstore company and great to really great products to compete with some higher end brands.
SOO AE Sheet Mask Duo in Purifying Black Charcoal Mask and Nature Green Tea Collagen Essence Mask (Retails $2.50 each)
I’m obsession with face mask is pretty serious. I’m not a huge face of sheet masks, mainly due to the fact that I have a smaller face so they fit around my mouth a little strange sometimes. The charcoal mask is great for detoxing the skin and pulling out impurities deep in your pores. The green tea mask is wonderful solving irregular texture. This mask is packed with antioxidants to fight signs of aging and inflammation.
Promis Organics Nourishing Coconut Milk Daily Facial Scrub (Retails for $9.99 full size)
The scrub is an aloe based formula which is super soothing exfoliator. There are organic sugars and walnut shells that buff away the dead skin. Face washes are one of my favorite items to get in my Ipsy box, because that means that I don’t have to go out a buy one. I have a such a hard time trying to decide on what face wash I want to buy, so they make the decision for me!
Absolute New York Nano Liner Ultra Fine Precision Liquid Liner (Retails for $7.95)
I’m excited that I got a liquid eyeliner this month, because mine are almost out. I have tried this product out a little on the back of my hand and I’m impressed! The liner has great pigmentations and will get great for those that are new to the cat eye. Because it’s so thin, it will be great for those beginners.
Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Blush Brush 514 (Retails for $18)
Luxie creates so great brush, my favorite next to Morphe. These brushes are vegan, synthetic, and cruelty-free. Which makes me love this brand more. I own a couple other Luxie face brushes and they are some of my most used brushes.
This months box retails for over $35 and I got four full size items. Most of the time at least half the the items are sample size, so I’m excited that there was only one this month.
The best part is now I get to play with all this new makeup! Do you guys have subscriptions to either one of the these boxes?
I’m really debating on signing up for Boxy Charm… You got such great products!!! Follow for follow?
