Recently Josh’s parents made a short visit to California. We’ve got a running list of must see things in the San Diego area, and La Jolla Cove is pretty close to the top of it, so naturally we had to take his parents there. It’s a short drive north of downtown San Diego and has plenty of things to see and do. The Cove has some wonderful views you can easily spend a whole day just walking up and down the coast (and we have before). There are some great eateries as well!!
This evening we made reservations at The Marine Room. If you are celebrating and want a great view of those amazing San Diego sunsets, this is a great dining experience. The Marine Room is located just north of the public Cove, right on the tide line. If you are lucky enough to get a reservation during high tide, the waves crash up against the large windows they have in the dining room. The evening we visited wasn’t during high tide, so we did not get to see those crashing waves, but we still got such a wonderful sunset. Not to mention the food was delicious.
The dress that I’m wearing below is from the Maison Jules from Macy’s. I’ve had this dress for a few years now and Macy’s doesn’t seem to offer this one anymore, but I love how it can double as a casual day dress or can be dressed up a bit for an evening out.
Anybody else got some must go locations near you? We’d love to hear about them in case we’re ever in the area!
