OOTD: High Waisted Denim

Happy Wednesday, the work week is halfway over! If you saw yesterday’s post, you know that Josh and I went to Coronado Island for Labor Day. I have been obsessed with these orange tab high waisted jeans that I pick up over the summer from Levi’s. As summer is starting to come to an end, I am pulling out all my favorite summer tops before they get put away for the season.

The majority of my wardrobe is simple staples that can be transitioned for any season with some layering. I get pretty much all of my clothes from the sale section of shops or stock up with there is a great sale going on. Which is how I got both my top and jeans. The top I got from JCrew Factory about three years ago. I love it so much, its a great basic white tee but the sleeves get that little bit a detail so it’s not so simple. JCrew Factory always has some great sales going on and I love shopping their sales for great basics like this tee.

As you may know, I’m head over heals for Levi jeans. They are pretty much the only jeans I buy these days. There is a shop not to far from our apartment so Josh and I will walk over every other month or so. On our last trip I picked up the jeans. To top it off they were also having a 50% clearance sale. Which is an amazing deal, so these jeans ended up being under $35 when they are original just under $100. While we were there I also picked up this tee and this dress. The jeans that I’m wearing in the pictures above were original 32″ long, and I’m a shorty at 5’2″. Therefore The pants were way to long to say that least. I have been wanting a eyeing frayed jeans all summer long. Once I picked these up, I decided to DIY my on and chopped the jeans right at my ankle. I couldn’t be more happy with them now!
