Liberty Station, San Diego

We have fallen hard for San Diego, there is always something to do and so many places to visit. Every weekend Josh and I try visit a some of our favorite places. After I first visit to Liberty Station, we knew that we would be visiting often. Our favorite things to do are grabbing a bite at the Public Market, coffee from Moniker General, and catching a movie at The LOT. Followed by a walk around the property. There are so many great places to visit in Liberty Station and we are still discovering the places all the time. When Josh and I want to get out of the house to enjoy the great weather that we experience so often, we love heading out to here and soaking up the sunshine.

A little history about Liberty Station is that it once used to be a training station for the Navy. The training station opened in 1923 and remained a Navy training facility until 1997. In 2000 the City of San Diego acquired the property at turned into what it is today. The city took several years preserving the history of property and it is well worth all the time they put in. There is a beautiful park that is great to hang out during the summer weekends.

  1. I would love to go there, I’ve heard so many great things about San Diego! I guess I’m going to have to write it on my list of travel for next year 🙈💕
