Kristin Ess Hair

I have been obsessed with the Kristin Ess Hair line since it was released last year! If you don’t know who Kristin Ess is, you need to start following here right now! I started following Kristin maybe seven years ago, she was one-third of The Beauty Department and Lauren Conrads hair stylist. I’m sure that most of you have seen this line, because it’s sold at Target. Also, with the release of this years products there was a rose gold temporary tint and quickly sold out. I have been gradually building up my collection of this line as my other products sell out and I’ve been so happy with every product that I’ve gotten thus far. One of the things that I love about this line is that Kristin color coated her products: pink for cleanse + condition, white for restore, grey for wet styling and black for dry styling + finishing. Which I wish more companies would do.

Last year when the line was first released I went to Target and most of the line was sold out and this has happened to me several times when I’m shopping in the hair aisle. The first two products that I picked up where the texture spray and the dry shampoo. The texture spray is a product that I will be repurchasing over and over. When my hair dries natural, it tends to be on the flatter side and this product does so much to bring life back into my hair. I also use this after I curl my hair to help hold the curl because it’s a light weight hairspray. The dry shampoo and I don’t use as much as the texture spray, mainly because I reach for my Batisse a bit more. The main reason for this is solely because Batisse is a few dollars cheaper, but the Kristin Ess Dry Shampoo is equally as wonderful as Batisse. Plus both the Texture Spray and Dry Shampoo smell amazing. I love the smells through out this line.

Right before the holidays I purchased the shampoo and conditioners. For the holidays they had travel size duo of most of their products and I can’t wait to pick up some more. I  know that I’ve said this already, but I’m in love this this whole line. Both the shampoo and conditioner are wonderful products and what I’ll be picking up more at the store. When I first used this shampoo it threw me off a bit because it doesn’t lather like every other shampoo that I’ve used in the past. Shortly after that I found out that shampoos that lather aren’t really that great for you hair. The bubble strip you hair more of their natural oils. I have noticed that I don’t have to use dry shampoo as off either since switching to these products. As for the conditioner it’s great and keeps my hair soft. I don’t have much else to say because I don’t really know how to talk about conditioner any other way.

Rose Gold Temporary Tint. What to say about this guy! This product has been sold out the for month and half during my visits to Target. (It should also be noted that I try not to go to Target all that often because I know Josh and I can’t get out of there with out spending over $100, so I just avoid it all together.) My first time using the tint was this week, so I can’t speck on how long it lasts. But I think that it washes out in a wash or two. This tint will also only work on those blondes out there, Kristin has said that she’s working on a product for the darker gals out there. I did notice that the tint didn’t take very well to the top of my hair. I dyed my hair two summers ago and the bottom of my hair is still lighter from then. I have seen pictures of ladies (pictures here and here) with lighter hair all over and this looks amazing on each one of them. It makes me want to lighter my whole head so I can get a better use out of this product, we will see!
