Happy Tuesday! Things are starting to normalize a bit more around here; July was a bit of crazy month for us. The past month and half I have been deciding a lot of time towards decorating our house, there is still more to do. However, most of it is just picking up small decor pieces to complete rooms. I am still trying to get into a routine after moving into this house, and I still haven’t quite gotten there. I have been struggling with a lack of motivation to get the small day-to-day items done. Some of that has to do with the heat we’ve had the past few weeks. Now that the weather has started to cool down, I can tell that I’m feeling a bit better.
When it comes to finishing our house, we have a few piles that are those “what do I do with this stuff” left. While I would love to push it into a corner for the next three years, I know that’s not the right thing to do. Josh and I have also moved from a small two room studio apartment to a three bedroom house, I have found myself just ignoring rooms that we don’t go into very often. Do you have the problem too?
There have been some projects that I’m proud to have finished too! Josh and I spent a few hours going back and forth about how we wanted to set up our record player. After a bit of time, convincing Josh to go with my idea (that’s how it works right) we finally made a decision. Which I will be sharing in the next month or so, we are just waited on a print to come in that got lost in delivery. So we have a new print on the way! I have also been on the hunt for a bar cart pretty much since we moved it, every one that I’m in love with either can’t be delivered to us or is out of our budget for us right now.
Now that we have most of our house settled, Josh and I have been putting our focus on traveling. As you may have seen, we spent a few days in Siena, Italy (part 1 and part 2) in the middle of July. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen that last week we took a quick 36 hour trip to Rome, and I there will be blog post all about that in the next week! We are already planning our next trip too, so keep your eyes out for that!
